“If I fits, I sits” Cat Sculpture.For any lovers of cats, hopefully this little sculpture will bring a smile to your face! The bottom part of the sculpture is a vintage mid 1900’s shop display dummy battery (actually made from wood), from the Netherlands. In itself, quite a rare little item. As soon as I saw it, I knew what I wanted it to become. So the little vintage 1930’s lead cat sits in a tiny box. The box is from the early 1900’s, and is carved ebony. To this, I have added some black and white stripy tin, from a 1950’s cigarettes tin. An antique glass topped hat pin from the late 1900’s acts at the stand for the upper part, on to which I have added the words, in stamped vintage tin fragments. The whole piece stands at 13cm.
